Chaylee, who is five years old drew these pictures of me. I love them! |
Here she is at graduation. Robert Redford is seated on the far left in this photo. |
Next we went to Arizona where we had lots of fun with Jared and his family and John's daughter Breana. Here we are with our 3D glasses after seeing Star Trek 3D at the Imax theatre. It was awesome. |
The next day we went bowling. They each had their own unique style! |
It's a tradition that we always make some kinds of craft. This year we decided to make pop-up cards. |
Breana had the coolest duc tape and she showed us how to make bookmarks out of it. |
TOP: Me and Veronica chillin' BOTTOM: Me and our oldest grandchild, Breana who will be thirteen in August. Isn't she beautiful! |
Our nephew John Jr. and his family were able to come too because they have moved to Meridian! Yay! |
Our daughter Dani rode back with us to Rexburg so she could see her daughters and be there for our granddaughter Robyn's fourth birthday. It was so fun to see her with her kids! |
The next day Robyn and Emma came over again and Chaylee and Lillee came up to spend a week so I took all four of them to the splash park and we rode the carousel and went to Scoops after for a dollar ice cream cone. |
I have been looking for summer recipes that don't heat up our kitchen as we have no air conditioning! Here's my taco salad. I made my own taco bowls out of uncooked tortillas from Sam's club. First you cook them lightly. Mold them over a metal or glass bowl that has been sprayed with Pam. Cover with tin foil, wrapping the foil all around the bowl into the inside. Cook on a cookie sheet top of the bowl down for 15 minutes. Take the foil off and cook for another 10 minutes at 350 degrees. I guess the oven did warm my kitchen but they were delish! |
You have so many cute little grandaughters. What a treasure. You've had some fun times this summer. Thanks for sharing the pictures. My camera is broken so I'm not taking pictures right now. Love, Lorraine
